How does this work?: 1.     PLACE YOUR ORDER Place your order for the tag you like, adding engraving on the back if you prefer. 2.     EMAIL uncropped PICTURE Reply to the order confirmation we emailed and attach your UNCROPPED picture/s      Email Staff@JMckinley.com 3.     WE EMAIL PROOF We will do a proof and email back to you so you will see what the final will look like before we proceed with your order. 4.     YOU APPROVE THE PROOF Check for our proof email and let us know if we can proceed 5.     WE PROCESS YOUR ORDER We will process your order in 1-3 days.

How to get us the file:       Email Staff@JMckinley.com if you have them already in a digital format, then you can Email the UNCROPPED pictures to us. This can be .jpg (which is the best) or .gif, .psd, .bmp etc. If you dont have the digital file, you can scan them yourself or have a friend scan them for you-to save time so you get them quicker. If you cannot get them in a digital format, you can mail the actual pics to us. If this is the case, please advise asap so that we can look out for them. WE WILL MAIL THE ORIGINAL PIC BACK TO YOU. PROCESSING TIME It takes approx 1-3 days for these to be processed. If you need these quicker, please make a note in the comments section of the order form.

Today, there are many variations on the original dog tag necklace with major fashion houses and jewelry manufacturers putting their on spin on this military inspired design. The DT1 Dog Tag is one of the more popular styles. Most choose to add a 3mm sterling silver dog tag bead chain.

The original metal military dog tag necklaces were the size of a silver half dollar, they were stamped with the name, rank, company, regiment, or corps of the wearer. All those in the military were required to wear them whenever the field kit was on. The tags were worn on a chain or cord underneath the clothing.
